About Us
Ballymena Business Centre was established in 1989 as a social
enterprise to provide vital support for those thinking of starting
a business and for those seeking to develop an existing business.
Today our focus remains firmly fixed on promoting an enterprise
culture, nurturing new business start ups and providing a range of
business solutions to help those successfully grow an existing
business.
Ballymena Business Centre is embedded within the local
community operating as a Local Enterprise Agency with a dedicated
team of local business advisors who fully understand the needs of
local business. The Company has a Voluntary Board of Directors
who oversee the Strategic Development ensuring that we remain
independant and flexiable to proactively meet our customers
individual and business needs.
Ballymena Business Centre is an active member of Enterprise
Northern Ireland and over recent years has been Highly Commended
for outstanding contribution to entrepreneurship. In 2006 the
Company was recognised as the Northern Ireland Winner of the
Enterprising Britain Award and Highly Commended at a United
Kingdom level in London for promoting entrepreneurship in
disadvantaged areas. In 2010 the Company was recognised again at
a Northern Ireland level and Highly Commended for outstanding
contribution to enterprise through the promotion of
entrepreneurship through local enterprise partnerships. Both
awards were sponsored by Invest Northern Ireland as part of the
Department of Enterprise Enterprising Britain Initiative.
Our motto at Ballymena Business Centre is simply 'helping
you do business better' we aim to achieve this through our
connectedness within our community and our ability to provide
advice and guidance for local people, by local people, who
understand local business. |
