Michelin Development Fund Award Mon 08 January 2007
The Small Firms Support Award was presented to Cecil Caldwell, Business Development Manager and Graham Whitehurst, Factory Manager of Michelin Ballymena, at a reception in the City Hall, Belfast.

Michelin Development was set up to assist small businesses at start up or growth, assisting in the creation of jobs. The assistance can take the form of financial loans at bank base rate or alternatively, advice or support from Michelins in house expertise.

Since the launch of Michelin Development at Ballymena at the end of July 2004, Cecil Caldwell has been very pleased with the progress to date. Loans in excess of £200,000 have been given in the area, creating around 70 jobs. Support in terms of advice or expertise has represented over 60 days worth of time to these businesses.

Michelin Development at Ballymena works very closely with the Ulster Bank, Ballymena Business Centre, Ballymena Borough Council and Invest NI and Cecil Caldwell is always interested to hear from potential Businesses. Further details can be obtained from the following website address
