FREE forum for female entrepreneurs from Mid and East Antrim
​Enterprising Women is a dedicated female network in Mid and East Antrim, that supports new and established female entrepreneurs. We want to help you to connect, grow in confidence, develop your networks and collaborate with like-minded women just like you. Managed by Carrickfergus Enterprise in conjunction with Ballymena Business Centre with funding provided by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, there are regular events and opportunities to network fun and interestingly. A warm welcome and a cuppa await you at our next event!

Mid and East Antrim's Enterprising Women Enterprise is a dynamic initiative designed to empower and support women entrepreneurs in the region. It offers a comprehensive range of benefits, including tailored business training, mentorship opportunities, and access to vital networking events.
By fostering a supportive community, the program helps women enhance their business skills, gain confidence, and unlock new growth opportunities. This initiative is instrumental in driving economic development in Mid and East Antrim, enabling women to turn their business ideas into thriving enterprises.
Enterprising Women MEA is managed by Carrickfergus Enterprise in partnership with Ballymena Business Centre and funded by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

It is a dedicated female network in Mid and East Antrim, that supports new and established female entrepreneurs. We have 240 members across the Borough in a range of sectors including Retail, Tourism, Artisan and Professional services.

Women often feel quite isolated when they are running a business and we to create a warm and welcoming environment to help members to connect, grow in confidence, develop their networks and collaborate with like-minded women just like them.

We provide an interesting and diverse range of events throughout Mid and East Antrim and are launching a new online platform in Autumn 2024 to allow members to be more visible to each other and their wider markets. Events include Coffee and Chat events where members just meet up and have a chat over coffee about their business or indeed life. We also deliver a range of workshops in the areas of personal development and management skills to help the member and their business grow. Past events have included smartphone photography, Video skills, Menopause and Mindset. We also run some social events such as Jingle and Mingle afternoon tea and an exchange visit in the past two years to Donegal.
To be eligible to join the network you need to be resident or have a business located in Mid and East Antrim.
